Qualia films is a production company based in France born thanks to the association of three film professionals who decided to join their skills around a production project.
In 2003, year of birth of the company, Qualia films produced two documentary films. The first, "Touched" (26 ', Laetitia Mikles, 2003) is a movie about the language of the handicapped deaf-blind.
The second one, "I went to Paris" (16 ', 2005) is a portrait of a 88 years old woman built on interviews and the family archive.
The same year, Qualia films produced a feature documentary film about the filmmaker Pedro Costa; more than a filmography punctuated with interviews, "All Blossoms Again" approaches a "filmmaker man" in his daily life, in his report to Fontainhas neighborhood in the sidelines of the shooting of his movie “Juventude em marcha”.
Then Qualia films turned toward fiction and drama producing a 20 minutes short movie, written and directed by Benjamin Lajarte and titled "Her Name" ...
To grow as production company, we found a partnership with TS production in order to produce a feature film directed by Benjamin de Lajarte : "Games of clouds & rain". The movie (with Alain Chamfort, Audrey Dana, Simon Yam, Heling Li, John McLean ...) was released in theaters in January 2013.
Meanwhile, Qualia produced "Bury our dogs" directed by Frédéric Serve, and "Jacob's Dream" directed by Olivier Ciechelski ... And find another partnership with Faso films in Africa to permit to an ambitious African movie to exist : "Waiting for the vote", directed by Missa Hebie and released in 2011.
Now we develop several projects of short and feature films.
